On May 19, American Institute Allied With Thornton Academy proudly held its 2nd Graduation Ceremony, marking an important milestone in the school’s young but remarkable history.

The event brought together students, families, faculty, and guests to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class and reflect on the journey that has shaped AITA into the vibrant international community it is today.

What made this celebration especially meaningful was the opportunity to look back at how far the school has come since its founding in the summer of 2023. Established with a vision of providing both academic excellence and personal growth opportunities, AITA has grown from an ambitious idea into a thriving international high school community serving 32 students in Grades 9 through 12.

During the ceremony, graduates were recognized not only for their academic accomplishments but also for their perseverance, leadership, and contributions to school life. Family members and teachers joined in celebrating the students’ hard work and the bright futures that lie ahead of them.

AITA takes particular pride in its international character. While many students come from Novi Sad and other parts of Serbia, the school has become home to young people from around the world. Today, the AITA community proudly represents countries including Russia, Slovakia, the United States, China, Turkey, Cyprus, Congo, and Serbia. These diverse backgrounds enrich the educational experience and reflect the school’s commitment to fostering global citizenship, mutual respect, and cultural understanding.

The ceremony featured speeches, the presentation of diplomas, and moments of reflection on the friendships, challenges, and successes that have defined the graduates’ high school experience. It was a celebration of achievement, but also a reminder of the values that unite the AITA community: curiosity, determination, integrity, and a passion for learning.

As the graduates embark on the next chapter of their educational journeys, the entire AITA community wishes them success and looks forward to seeing the impact they will make in the world.
